Spliethoff monitors ships with Finnish IT startup nauticAi
Dutch shipping company Spliethoff has integrated the high-performance nauticAi Map mapping service into its sensor-based fleet performance platform.
The nauticAi Map software-as-a-service (SaaS) has been tailored to Spliethoff’s needs and will improve the user experience and usability of the mapping and weather functions in the Dutch company’s performance monitoring system.
Fully customisable, nauticAi is the new SaaS-brand from the founders of Finnish maritime IT-startup Fleetrange. The OGC-compliant service provides high-performance, BI tool-compatible single-point access to various types of geographical and mapping data while combining them with up-to-date weather layers.
“Our new nauticAi Map service leverages our existing data platform, combines new open data weather sources from NOAA and Meteo-France, and is tuned for performance,” said Henrik Ramm-Schmidt, CEO and founder of nauticAi and Fleetrange. “It also enables Spliethoff to integrate their own weather data from Dutch [company] MeteoGroup into the same single-point service.”
