Cramo moves up a gear in Germany
Rental service Cramo has signed an agreement to acquire the share capital of German construction site logistics company KBS Infra and its subsidiaries.
, which specialises in construction machinery and equipment rental and rental-related services, is looking to strengthen its position in and around Germany and to expand its business model by providing value-adding services.
KBS Infra is headquartered in Mainz, with four sites and 180 employees in the country. It offers logistics and on-site electricity services as well as construction site facility management.
On top of the growing fleet in Germany, Cramo sees the acquisition as an opportunity for cross-selling its current equipment rental offering. The company will also be able to serve its current customers more extensively by providing KBS Infra’s on-site electricity and site logistics services.
“The acquisition is fully in line with our Shape and Share strategy and will strengthen Cramo’s position in the important German market and supports our ambitions to grow profitably,” saysLeif Gustafsson, CEO and president of Cramo Group. “It expands our business model and also enables the development of new customer solutions.”
The transaction is subject to merger control clearance from the German Federal Cartel Office. Cramo expects that the acquisition will be closed in the coming months.
Currently Cramo operates in about 300 depots in 14 countries, with a group staff of around 2 600.
