Granlund Consulting makes its way to the UK
Helsinki-based Granlund Consulting has extended its portfolio offering and expanded to the UK by acquiring Greenfield Consulting and a majority stake in Greenfield Nordic.
The acquisition offers Granlund Consulting entry into the UK market, as Greenfield provides consulting services for energy production, energy networks and energy production technologies in the UK and Finland.
The employees of Greenfield Consulting join the ranks at Granlund Consulting through the acquisition and Greenfield’s CEO Jussi-Pekka Kuivala takes over Granlund’s Heat and Cooling Network Services division.
“In the future, we can offer our clients more extensive knowledge for regional energy projects,” comments Ville Reinikainen, director, Energy at Granlund Consulting .
The merger of the companies’ businesses took place with immediate effect in both Finland and in the UK after the acquisition on 1 February.
“Greenfield supports our internationalisation efforts in Europe,” says Miia Anttila, CEO of Grandlund Consulting. “Right from the start of the negotiations it has been apparent that there is a clear synergy in our co-operation. We are two very similar actors and eagerly start 2018 together.”
