Hintsa locks in EUR 6.8 million in funding

Finnish performance and wellbeing services provider Hintsa Performance has closed a 6.8 million-euro funding round led by OP Insurance, Pontos Group and Ilmarinen.

will use the funding for software development, scientific research and market expansion amidst brisk growth in demand for improving workers’ wellbeing in organisations. The Finnish company has a long history working with holistic wellbeing in some of the most pressure-laden occupations, dating back to the 1990s. These kinds of methods are increasingly being sought to better individual and organisational performance.

“We see a clear change in how today’s companies – especially in knowledge-intensive industries – support their employees in reaching a higher quality of life,” saysJussi Räisänen, CEO and co-founder of Hintsa. “Many leading organisations are currently working on initiatives to improve wellbeing, vitality and performance in an inclusive, measurable manner.”

According to Hintsa’s online survey, as many as 30 per cent of knowledge workers said they were not getting enough sleep and were not able to concentrate on their work without distractions.

“Nearly 80 per cent of the users of our digital tools learn more about wellbeing and change their lifestyle for the better,” continues Räisänen. “This is a great platform to build on; with funding and strategic partners, we can accelerate our growth and help organisations worldwide unlock their full potential.”

Hintsa Performance has certainly begun unlocking their clients true potential, tripling their corporate business over the past two years and working with clients such as Nokia, Ericsson and Microsoft.
