K.Hartwall acquires A&A Logistik-Equipment

Finnish provider of returnable logistics solutions K.Hartwall has become a majority shareholder in German company A&A Logistik-Equipment.

K.Hartwall

develops logistics solutions mainly for retail companies, postal services and the automotive industry, and has a turnover of 55 million euros and 160 employees. Its clients include Schaeffler, Royal Mail, Havi Logistics and Bosch.

Through the acquisition, K.Hartwall aims to enter new markets and gain new customers. A&A Logistik-Equipment currently focuses on two core segments: standard equipment and special projects for customers in various industrial segments. Its innovative product range includes versatile dollies, tugger train systems and customised automatic guided vehicles (AVGs). The company has a four-million-euro turnover and 25 employees.

“By putting together our strengths we become a major global market player in material handling equipment,” says K.Hartwall CEO, Jerker Hartwall, in a release. “K.Hartwall’s experience in lean logistics management and international trade gets combined with the A&A expertise. This will enable us to attract new customers and enter new markets as one strong, unified team.”
