Finnish food delivery service Wolt is bringing grassroots designers and artists into the spotlight during Helsinki Design Week, by delivering their art to doorsteps.

The project is called Design Delivered and will take place during Helsinki Design Week, organised from 6 September to 16 September in the Finnish capital.

customers will have the chance to order art and design, as well as design menus, from hand-picked young designers from different creative fields during the campaign.

“Finland is full of great design and art,” says Mika Matikainen, co-founder and design lead of Wolt in a press release. “We want to offer an easy way to bring it close to people.”

Wolt has also teamed up on the project with Aalto University’s department of arts and design, Aalto Arts, and one of the days will be dedicated to selling art by Aalto design students.

The designs to be delivered will be picked out from submissions by a jury that includes chef and food stylist Meri-Tuuli Väntsi, conceptual chef and creative Kozeen Shiwan, Young Designer of the Year 2016 and creative director, Laura Väinölä, and also Facebook’s creative director Teemu Suviala.

“I love a good pizza, but it’s even tastier when delivered with some soul-nourishing art,” comments Väntsi.

Wolt operates in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia, Georgia, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
