Finnish national carrier Finnair introduces new route to Trondheim and adds flights to Tromsø in Norway, in collaboration with Widerøe.

Finnair

will open a new year-round route to Norway’s scenic third city, Trondheim, in June 2019. The flights will be operated five days a week by Norwegian regional airline Widerøe and sold and marketed by Finnair.

The Finnish airline is also adding new flights with Widerøe to Tromsø, another popular destination in Norway, situated 350 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle. Flights between Helsinki and Tromsø will be operated three days a week, year-round, from June 4.

“We are excited to add Trondheim to our network, and to increase flights to Tromsø,” said Christian Lesjak, the head of network and resource management at Finnair. “The Nordics are attractive especially for our Asian customers. Our new Trondheim route offers the region excellent opportunities to grow as a travel destination, and also connects the region’s leisure and business travellers to our vast network of destinations in Europe and Asia.”
